I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately. As I get older and watch my kids grow-up, the world change before my eyes at a rate that seems to get faster & faster, I find myself drawn to material that provides me with a grounded sense of certainty that I actually do have control over my thoughts, beliefs & feelings. It is this very control & personal power that we each posses that allows us to decide how our lives will be- how great, remarkable & delicious life will be … or not. We truly get to decide this because it is our thoughts and beliefs that dictate what we get out of life.
Some of the books I’ve recently read that have inspired me are written by Joe Vitale. He writes about the Law of Attraction. and creating a remarkable life from the inside out.
What are your beliefs? When you look at your life, what you have is a direct result of your beliefs. Are you happy & grateful or sad & frustrated? In debt or living with financial security? Great relationships or lousy ones? There are beliefs that are creating those experiences. Good or bad. Beliefs make up our personalities. When you change your beliefs, you change your situation.
How do you change your beliefs? You start by deciding what you want for your life. As soon as you decide, really decide what you want for your life – what you want to do, what you want to be, what you want to have – you’ll discover beliefs in the way of the very things you want for your life.
Take your complaints and restate them as goals or intentions. Are you struggling with a relationship? Restate that complaint and make it a goal – “I will find the beauty in the people I love and work to stop focusing on their spots. I will be grateful for the positive influences in my life and will remove the negative.”
So, what do you want? What would make your heart sing? What would make you smile right now thinking about it? What would you do if you knew you could not fail? What would you want if you knew you could have anything?
Now decide – it is possible.
